Swanson Inn Of Vermont - Waitsfield

If you enjoy feeling like you're intruding in an abandoned house, Swanson Inn is the place for you! I waited 45 minutes for check-in and there was no TV, how quaint! I woudl ve expected at least a complimentary drink for the hassle, you know, just some basic hospitality, but alas, I just couldn't recommend this place.

Finding the Swanson Inn was a hidden gem in the Waitsfield area. The charming decor gave the place a unique personality. I loved the homemade breakfast muffins-they were a good start to the day. The host was accommodating and even helped out with local hiking tips, made our outdoor plans smoother. Our room, a Queen room, was clean and spacious. The water pressure in the shower was on the weaker side was great. The room lacked a traditional keyed lock. Despite these minor inconveniences, the warmth of the hospitality was good, especially with the picturesque outdoor spaces to relax in after an active day. Definitely a great value for the price, but a few tweaks could make it even better.

A great spot for a weekend getaway with friends! We enjoyed mountain biking and relaxing at the inn. Tim and Rick, providing us with fantastic meals and even helped with our laundry. The common areas were cute. Highly recommend this place for its warmth and hospitality.

The late check-in process was like entering a ghost town!!! If you're expecting some basic comfort like a TV or amenities, you might want to rethink your choices!!! A little upgrade wouldn't hurt.

It was just a great fit for a weekend pause in Waitsfield with excellent value for money. I appreciated how they did our laundry after a long hike, a nice surprise. Make sure to check out the lovely backyard for relaxation.

The nearby ski slopes were fantastic. And the freshly made breakfast was a treat with unique options. Relaxing in the garden area. The hosts were warm and genuinely attentive, offering great local tips and insights.

The room offered a clean and spacious environment. The breakfast cookies provided were not only a good addition but crucial for replenishing our energy as hungry skiers. The new ownership has certainly made a positive impact with their warm hospitality and the excellent avocado toast they prepared for us each morning.

The queen room was clean, spacious, and super comfortable after a day of skiing. Breakfast with delicious homemade waffles and avocado toast exceeded my expectations!

Located near Sugarbush and Mad River. Comfortable, clean room with lovely view. Delicious homemade breakfast. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Close to Mt. Ellen for convenient ski access.

Can recommend for a fleeting moment

Cozy ambiance, attentive hosts, with beautiful outdoor spaces that provided a charming retreat after a long day of exploring and skiing nearby, while enjoying the convenience of free parking and a delicious breakfast highlighted by homemade waffles.

Charming inn with awesome breakfast!

The cozy Log Cabin room was super comfy, and the homemade waffles for breakfast were downright delish. Frank, the host, was super helpful and even pointed us to a nice hike close by. Only thing is, the room could use a bit more lighting, but other than that, totally worth it!

Amazing breakfasts and warm ambiance. the homemade oatmeal was a delight! Just keep in mind the lack of a TV in the room. Would definitely come back!
